What we collect and why
- Enquiry form and email. Your name, organisation, email address, phone number and the details of your enquiry. We use these to respond to you and, if you become a client, to deliver our services. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and performance of a contract where you engage us.
- Website use. Our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested in order to run and secure the site. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who we share it with
We use trusted suppliers to run this website, deliver the enquiry form and provide our email. They process data only on our instructions. We do not sell personal information. We share it with others only where the law requires it, or where you ask us to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for the length of the engagement and for six years afterwards to meet our legal and insurance obligations.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. To exercise any of these rights, email info@a1firesafety.co.uk.
